Privacy policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026. In plain words, with no tricks.
The short version
- You can use the site without giving us anything. The tasks you tick stay in your own browser.
- If you give us your email, we use it only to send what you asked for (your plan, tips, Premium news).
- We never sell your data. We don’t show ads.
- You can unsubscribe with one click, and ask us to delete your data any time.
What we collect
- If you just use the site: nothing that identifies you. The tasks you tick, your progress, streak and points are saved only in your own browser (local storage). They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
- If you ask for your plan by email or sign up for tips or the Premium waitlist: your email address, and if you choose to give them, your first name and your job. We also note which form you used, which job page you were on, and whether you’re interested in Premium. When you sign up, we also note how you found us (for example the website or post that sent you, and the first page you visited) so we know which links work. We don't use cookies for this.
- Basic technical data: like every website, our hosting provider handles your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and block abuse. We use privacy-friendly visit counts (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that don’t use cookies or build a profile of you.
- Spam check: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check you’re a real person. It looks at technical signals from your browser for that check only.
Why we use it
- To send you the plan and emails you asked for (you asked us to, so we can).
- To send short tips and Premium news, if you signed up for them. You can stop any time.
- To keep the site safe and stop spam, for example by limiting how many emails one address or device can request per day (our legitimate interest).
- To see, in total, which pages are useful, so we can improve the site.
Who helps us run the site
We use a few trusted services. They only use your data to do this job for us:
- Cloudflare: hosting, spam check, visit counts and short-term limits on how many emails can be sent.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Brevo: stores our email list (your email, name, job and sign-up details).
- Formspree: receives our sign-up forms.
Some of these companies are in the United States or other countries. When your data goes abroad, they protect it with standard legal safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Your email list details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Anti-spam counters: about one day. A note that we sent you a welcome email: 30 days.
- Email-sending logs at our email service: a short time, as set by that service.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of any email, or reply “unsubscribe”.
- See, fix or delete your data: email [email protected] and we’ll do it, usually within a few days and always within 30 days.
- Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object, to limit how we use your data, to get a copy, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
MyNextSkill is for adults planning their working life. It isn’t meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Never share private details with AI
Our prompts are made for you to copy into an AI assistant of your choice. Those assistants are run by other companies under their own privacy rules. Never paste names, patient or customer details, or other private information into them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. For big changes, we’ll also tell people on our email list.
